Panini Hoops 2023 represents one of the final chapters of the brand's long tenure in basketball cards before losing its NBA license. The set maintained the vibrant, accessible design philosophy that made Hoops a collector favorite for decades—emphasizing bold colors and dynamic player photography over premium materials. Purple parallels like this one became sought-after variants, offering visual appeal and collectibility at reasonable entry points for fans building sets. Ja Morant's inclusion in this set captures him during his prime years with the Memphis Grizzlies, a period when he was establishing himself as one of the league's most electrifying young talents. The purple parallel treatment adds visual pop to an already energetic design, making it an attractive pull for both Morant enthusiasts and Hoops set builders.
