# Card Notes The Sword & Shield era marked a pivotal moment in Pokémon's modern trading card renaissance, revitalizing the hobby after decades of relative quiet. Black Star Promos became highly sought chase cards during this period, distributed through special collections and premium products. These promotional releases captured collector attention by offering premium artwork and exclusive designs unavailable in standard booster packs, helping define the early 2020s collecting boom. Galarian Zapdos represents one of the standout Galar region variants that fascinated players and collectors alike. The card's striking artwork showcases this Fighting-type reimagining of the classic legendary bird, departing dramatically from the original Electric-type design. Collectors appreciate both the competitive appeal and the bold visual reinterpretation that defined the Galarian form phenomenon.
