Crown Zenith arrived in late 2023 as a special set celebrating the final era of the Scarlet and Violet block. Released after the main set rotation, it captured collectors' attention with premium full-art treatments and alternate illustrations that became instant favorites. The set represents the hobby's continued appetite for beautifully rendered chase cards during a period when Pokemon TCG remained central to collecting culture. Drapion V's full-art rendering showcases the Pokémon with striking detail and dynamic composition. As a full-art alternative card, it appeals to collectors who prioritize aesthetics and artwork quality over gameplay considerations. The illustration's bold presentation makes it a sought-after display piece for enthusiasts building thematic collections around poison-type Pokémon or V-era cards from the modern era.
