Brilliant Stars represents a significant moment in the Pokémon TCG's modern era, arriving in 2022 when the hobby had stabilized after the pandemic's intense speculation phase. The set introduced Full Art Supporter cards as a major chase element, creating fresh collecting appeal beyond traditional holos and vintage reprints. Its accessible power level and beautiful illustrator lineup made it genuinely beloved rather than merely hyped. Barry's Full Art treatment captures the Sinnoh Champion in dynamic pose, rendered with the vibrant personality that defined the set's artistic direction. As a Supporter card from the Games, Barry appeals to players and collectors alike—those building competitive decks and those pursuing complete Full Art galleries. The character's popularity, combined with the artistic execution of this particular illustration, makes it a cornerstone card for set completion.
