Silver Tempest closed out the Sword & Shield era in late 2022, delivering a final collection of beloved Pokémon before the game's rotation. The set captured collector nostalgia while introducing fresh artwork and compelling pull rates that kept the hobby engaged during a transitional period. As one of the year's final mainstream releases, it remains a snapshot of Pokemon TCG during a particularly active collecting season. Altaria appears here as a special Illustration Rare, a treatment that showcases expressive, character-focused artwork beyond standard card designs. The full-art presentation highlights this graceful Dragon-type in an appealing composition that appeals to both competitive players and art-focused collectors. Illustration Rares from Silver Tempest are sought for their visual distinction and relative scarcity within the set.
