Black Star Promos represented a special category during the Sword & Shield era, offering collectors alternative artwork and premium presentation outside traditional booster sets. These promotional cards became increasingly sought after as the Pokemon TCG experienced explosive growth in the early 2020s, attracting both longtime enthusiasts and newcomers discovering the hobby. The accessibility of promos like this one helped broaden the appeal of modern Pokemon collecting during a pivotal period for the game. Jolteon's electric energy and dynamic motion made it a natural fit for promotional artwork. Collectors appreciate this Holo version for its striking presentation and the appeal of this popular Eeveelution, combining nostalgic affection for the character with the prestige of owning a special promotional release from an influential set.
