Shiny Star V marked a significant milestone in Japanese Pokémon TCG history as the first set to feature exclusively full-art and alternate-art cards. Released in late 2020, it arrived during peak pandemic-driven collecting enthusiasm and became instantly iconic among players and collectors worldwide. The set celebrated the franchise's artistic possibilities with premium presentation and chase cards that defined an entire era of Japanese Pokémon collecting. Dreepy's inclusion as a Shiny Holo variant captures the ghost-dragon's ethereal design beautifully, with the full-art treatment highlighting its spectral form across the card. Collectors particularly appreciate Dreepy for its elegant artwork and as a foundation card for building Shiny Star V master sets, making it a consistent target for serious enthusiasts pursuing complete collections from this landmark release.
