Evolving Skies arrived in August 2021 as a landmark set during Pokémon TCG's modern renaissance. The set celebrated the franchise's beloved evolution mechanic with stunning alternate art cards and full-art trainers, making it instantly popular with both competitive players and collectors. It represented peak interest in the hobby's 2020-2021 boom, balancing accessibility with chase cards that drove excitement and secondary market activity. Raichu has long been a fan favorite as Pikachu's powerful evolution, and this rendition captures the electric mouse's transformed majesty. Collectors appreciate Evolving Skies' holographic and alternate art treatments for their visual appeal and accessibility compared to earlier vintage Pokémon releases, making cards like this central to modern collection building.
