Topps Pokemon Series 2 arrived in 1999 as the hobby's appetite for Pokemon cards remained insatiable. Following the success of their first series, Topps continued translating Game Boy creatures into physical cards for the American market, competing alongside Wizards of the Coast for collector attention. These sets remain nostalgic touchstones for anyone who collected during Pokemon's initial cultural phenomenon. Marowak, the evolved form of Cubone, represents the iconic fossil and ground-type Pokemon that resonated with collectors of that era. The card's artwork captures this distinctive creature with characteristic detail, making it a solid addition to Pokemon collections focused on the original 151 or on ground-type specialists.
