Neo Destiny remains one of the most celebrated sets in Pokemon TCG history, released during the franchise's initial explosion in Western markets. The 2002 first edition printings captured collectors' imaginations with distinctive artwork and meaningful Pokemon selections. This era defined modern collecting, establishing the competitive and nostalgic foundation that drives the hobby today. Phanpy represents the set's appeal—a beloved second-generation Pokemon rendered in Neo Destiny's characteristic style.
