The Legendary Collection set marked Pokemon's return to the Trading Card Game in 2002 after a brief hiatus, introducing a nostalgic compilation of beloved cards from earlier sets with updated holofoil patterns. The set became iconic for collectors seeking to revisit classic artwork and characters during a pivotal moment in the hobby's evolution, bridging the gap between the game's original era and its modern resurgence. Dark Dragonair represents the darker, more sophisticated interpretations of familiar Pokemon that appealed to collectors during this period. The card captures the evolution line's mysterious appeal with striking artwork that highlights Dragonair's elegant, serpentine form, making it a compelling centerpiece for those building thematic collections around Dragon-type Pokemon or the Dratini family's complete evolutionary arc.
