Shining Fates marked a defining moment for modern Pokémon collecting in 2021. Released during peak pandemic-era demand, this set breathed new life into the hobby with its Shiny Vault subset—a dedicated collection of full-art alternate-condition cards featuring fan-favorite Pokémon in their shiny forms. The set became instantly iconic, driving renewed interest and establishing the template for future premium releases. Duraludon's shiny form transforms its steel-gray palette into striking golds and blues, captured beautifully in its full-art presentation. This Steel-Dragon-type appeals to collectors drawn to both competitive players' favorites and those seeking visually distinctive alternate arts. Shining Fates shiny cards remain cornerstone pieces for set completionists and players alike.
