The Sword & Shield Black Star Promos represented a major shift in Pokemon's promotional strategy during the TCG's modern era. Released between 2020 and 2022, these cards brought fresh artwork and competitive playability to casual collectors and serious players alike. The series captured the franchise's simultaneous push into the competitive scene while maintaining broader accessibility, making these promos meaningful snapshots of Pokemon's resurgence in trading cards. Boltund V showcases the electric canine that became central to the Galar region's mythology. Collectors appreciate this card for its dynamic artwork and the V designation, which marked a significant power level in the TCG's mechanics during this period. As a Black Star Promo, it carries the special appeal of being a non-standard release that stands apart from traditional booster set pulls.
