Pokemon Collection Y was part of Japan's XY-era lineup, released during a period of renewed collecting interest in the franchise. This set marked an important transition in Japanese Pokemon TCG design, blending the nostalgic appeal of classic Pokemon with modern card aesthetics and mechanics. Collection Y sets represented the hobby's shift toward premium Japanese products sought by serious collectors worldwide. Rhydon card #32 captures this sturdy Rock-type Pokemon in characteristic powerful stance. The artwork exemplifies the XY era's detailed illustration style that appealed to both casual players and dedicated collectors. Rock-type Pokemon from this period attract particular collector interest, and this card's placement in a premium Japanese collection set makes it a notable example of mid-2010s Pokemon TCG production.
