Fossil was the fourth expansion released for the Pokémon Trading Card Game in 1999, arriving at the height of the franchise's initial boom. The set introduced fossil-themed mechanics and creatures alongside fan-favorite Pokémon, cementing the TCG's early identity during a golden era when new releases defined childhood collecting experiences. Haunter, the mischievous ghost-type evolution, appears as a holographic card in this set with characteristically eerie artwork. Collectors appreciate Haunter for its role in the Pokémon universe and the nostalgic appeal of early Fossil holos, which represent some of the TCG's most memorable and sought-after imagery from the base era.
