Hidden Fates arrived in late 2019 as a surprise set that reinvigorated the Pokémon TCG during a pivotal moment. Its Shiny Vault subset—featuring alternate art and holographic treatments of rarely-seen Pokémon—became instantly collectible. The set captured a generation's excitement for both nostalgic favorites and modern designs, helping establish the contemporary trading card boom. Beldum's Shiny treatment presents the Steel-type Pokémon in its rare golden coloration, a departure from its standard silver appearance. As a Stage 1 evolution in the Pokédex and a gateway to the powerful Metagross line, Beldum holds appeal for players and collectors alike. Shiny Vault cards remain sought after for their eye-catching alternative art and scarcity.
