Ancient Origins arrived in 2015 as a pivotal set bridging the XY era's mid-point, introducing the Hoopa Unbound storyline that captivated the Pokémon TCG community. The set balanced competitive playability with compelling character development, making it memorable for both serious players and narrative enthusiasts. Its release during Pokémon's 20th anniversary year added cultural significance to an already celebrated expansion. Hoopa EX captures one of the set's central mythical Pokémon in striking artwork that emphasizes its otherworldly presence and power. The card's dual nature as both a legendary figure and a mechanically interesting EX pulls from collectors across generations—those who played during the XY era value its nostalgic appeal, while newer collectors appreciate its place in the larger Hoopa mythology.
