Paldean Fates arrived in 2024 as a special celebration of the Scarlet and Violet era, blending nostalgic full-art designs with modern Pokemon from Generation Nine. The set captured collectors' attention by offering alternative artwork treatments and shiny variants, making it a memorable release during a period of renewed enthusiasm for the trading card game. Flamigo's shiny variant presents the pink wading bird in its alternate coloration, a striking visual that appeals to collectors seeking unique interpretations of contemporary Pokemon. Its inclusion as a rare shiny makes it a natural target for players building themed collections or pursuing complete shiny sets from the release.
