The Nintendo Pokemon Vending Prism Sticker set from 2000 represents a fascinating chapter in early Pokemon merchandising outside traditional trading cards. These Japanese stickers combined holographic prism technology with collectible sticker format, appealing to both card collectors and casual Pokemon fans during the franchise's explosive growth period. The vending machine distribution model made them accessible yet somewhat ephemeral, as stickers were inherently less durable than cards, making survivors noteworthy today. Squirtle, one of the original starter Pokemon, appears here in a charming illustration that captures the character's gentle nature. The prism sticker technology gives the image distinctive dimensional properties that shift with angle and light. As a foundational Pokemon with enduring collector appeal, Squirtle examples from this early format attract enthusiasts building comprehensive collections of the character across all product categories.
