Paldean Fates emerged in 2024 as a special set celebrating the Scarlet and Violet generation with enhanced artwork and shiny variants. This release captured collectors' attention by offering alternative takes on familiar Pokémon with improved visual treatments, bridging the gap between standard and premium collecting tiers during a period when the hobby continued evolving toward diverse product formats and artistic experimentation. Houndstone's shiny version showcases the canine Pokémon in its alternate coloration, transforming its appearance from the standard palette. Collectors are drawn to shiny variants for their rarity and aesthetic appeal, and this particular representation offers fans a visually striking interpretation of a generation nine Pokémon in one of the set's most sought formats.
