Obsidian Flames arrived in 2023 as one of the Scarlet and Violet era's most celebrated sets, bringing fresh creativity to the Pokémon TCG after years of accelerated releases. The set stood out for its experimental design philosophy and special treatments, including the Cosmos Holo finish that became instantly iconic among collectors. This period marked a turning point where the hobby embraced aesthetic variation alongside competitive accessibility. Greavard represents the Ghost-type additions that define this era's Pokédex expansion. Its spectral imagery and the ethereal qualities of Cosmos Holo make this card particularly striking—the special finish transforms the card's presence in hand and on display. Collectors gravitate toward this combination of modern design innovation and the atmospheric appeal of the subject matter.
