Panini Select arrived in 2020 as a premium football offering built on the foundation of basketball's successful Select brand. Known for bold design, distinctive die-cuts, and multiple parallel versions including Black/Gold Prizm, the line represented Panini's push toward high-end retail products during the trading card boom. Select became a collector favorite for its artistic presentation and chase parallels that rewarded box breakers and set builders alike. Saquon Barkley remains one of the hobby's most collected modern players, and this Black/Gold Prizm die-cut captures him in Select's signature style—sharp imagery enhanced by the brand's distinctive layered prismatic technology. Collectors pursue these premium parallels for their visual appeal and Barkley's enduring popularity as a generational talent in the running back position.
