Topps Garbage Pail Kids: Book Worms – Gross Adaptations brought the irreverent spirit of GPK into the literary world, reimagining classic stories and characters with the brand's trademark crude humor. Released in 2022, the set represented the line's continued evolution, proving that decades after its 1985 debut, the franchise remained vital in modern collecting. Book Worms captured collectors' imaginations by blending nostalgia with contemporary sensibilities, landing squarely in the collector zeitgeist of that era. Dropping-Off Dorothy is a standout from the set, playing on the iconic imagery from a beloved classic tale with GPK's signature gross-out twist. The card exemplifies what makes the series enduringly collectible: clever wordplay paired with bold, exaggerated artwork that pushes creative boundaries. Fans of both literary parodies and Garbage Pail Kids' unapologetic aesthetic consistently seek out these themed entries.
