Garbage Pail Kids made a triumphant return to relevance in the early 2020s with Topps' revival of the iconic brand. The Book Worms series continued the tradition of irreverent, gross-out humor that defined the original 1980s phenomenon, proving the brand's enduring appeal to both nostalgic collectors and new generations discovering the subversive artwork for the first time. These modern releases became highly sought after, reigniting interest in GPK as a serious collecting category. Wormy Walker exemplifies the set's commitment to elaborate, detailed parody artwork. The card plays on recognizable cultural references with Garbage Pail Kids' signature grotesque twist, making it a standout in the Book Worms collection. Collectors are drawn to cards featuring inventive character designs and clever conceptual humor, which remain the core appeal of the entire franchise.
