Garbage Pail Kids experienced a significant resurgence in the early 2020s as collectors renewed interest in the irreverent humor and artistic style that defined the brand since its 1985 debut. The Book Worms series tapped into this revival, offering thematic takes on literary references wrapped in GPK's signature crude comedy. These modern releases proved the franchise's enduring appeal across generations, blending nostalgia with fresh designs that honor the original spirit while reflecting contemporary sensibilities. Dashiell Droppings exemplifies the set's playful wordplay, pairing the famous author's name with scatological humor—a trademark GPK approach. The card's artwork captures the grotesque charm collectors expect, delivering the kind of irreverent subject matter that makes Garbage Pail Kids memorable and collectible across different eras and audiences.
