SkyBox Marvel Famous Battles arrived in 1993 as one of the earliest major trading card sets dedicated to Marvel Comics. Released during a golden age of comic card collecting, the set captured iconic storylines and character confrontations through dynamic artwork. These cards became foundational pieces for Marvel collectors, bridging the gap between traditional superhero comics and the trading card hobby that was exploding in the early nineties. The Infinity War card presents one of Marvel's most ambitious crossover events, where the mad titan Thanos and his cosmic threat threatened the entire Marvel Universe. Collectors are drawn to cards from this storyline for their historical significance within Marvel lore and the vivid illustration style that SkyBox became known for, making them enduring favorites among both longtime enthusiasts and newer collectors discovering early Marvel cardboard.
