VMAX Climax arrived in December 2021 as the final Japanese set of the Sword & Shield era, celebrated for its celebration of the franchise's legacy. The set featured an ambitious lineup of Character Rare cards showcasing beloved Pokémon with striking, modern illustrations. Collectors embraced VMAX Climax for its blend of competitive playability and aesthetic appeal, making it one of the most sought Japanese releases of its generation. Octillery's Character Rare treatment presents the eight-armed Pokémon in dynamic form, capturing the personality that often gets overlooked in standard releases. Character Rares remain popular with collectors who value expressive artwork and character focus over raw power, and Octillery's distinctive design makes it a memorable addition to any collection.
