Glory of the Rocket Gang represents a significant moment in the Japanese Pokemon TCG's modern era, celebrating the villainous Team Rocket faction with a dedicated set. Released in 2025, it continues the hobby's trend of thematic deep dives into Pokemon lore, offering collectors specialized artwork and mechanics tied to the darker, morally complex side of the Pokemon universe. These focused sets have become essential for serious collectors building comprehensive collections. Team Rocket's Houndour captures the dark aesthetic central to this set's appeal. The card features striking artwork that emphasizes the Pokemon's menacing nature while maintaining the quality standards collectors expect from contemporary Japanese releases. Houndour's association with Team Rocket makes it a natural fit for enthusiasts drawn to the organization's visual identity and those completing their Houndour lineage collections.
