Glory of the Rocket Gang represents a significant chapter in Pokemon's ongoing Japanese TCG narrative, continuing the beloved Team Rocket storyline that captivates players and collectors alike. Released in 2025, this set demonstrates how the franchise remains committed to exploring criminal organizations and morally complex characters that add depth to the card game's lore. The set maintains the aesthetic and thematic elements that made earlier Rocket-focused releases memorable while incorporating modern design sensibilities. Team Rocket's Porygon captures the appeal of villain-aligned Pokemon cards that have become collector favorites. The artwork presents Porygon through a distinctly Team Rocket lens, emphasizing the organization's technological focus and Porygon's artificial nature. These character-specific variants continue drawing collectors who appreciate cards that expand Pokemon's storytelling beyond the traditional protagonist perspective.
