Shimmering Skies arrived in 2024 as Disney Lorcana's second main set release, building on the trading card game's strong foundation established the previous year. This era marked the TCG's maturation phase, with the game expanding its player base and collector interest significantly. Shimmering Skies became notable for its expanded cardpool and refined design philosophy, solidifying Lorcana's position as a serious competitor in the modern trading card landscape. Zazu, the loyal majordomo from The Lion King, appears here in characterful form that captures his fussy yet endearing personality. Collectors are drawn to character cards from beloved classic films, and Zazu's presence in the set appeals to both game players and those building comprehensive character collections from Disney's most iconic stories.
