The Pokémon Horizons Gem Pack series represents a significant chapter in modern Chinese Pokémon TCG releases, arriving during a period of renewed collector enthusiasm for regional variants and alternative finishes. These gem packs bridged Western and Eastern market interests, offering reverse holographic treatments that became increasingly desirable as the hobby recognized the artistry and collectibility of non-English printings. The 2025 releases demonstrated sustained momentum in the TCG's global expansion. Quaxly, the water-type starter from the Paldea region, carries particular appeal as part of the initial trio of Pokémon that defined a generation. The reverse holo finish elevates the card's visual presentation, bringing dimensional depth to the illustration while maintaining the clean aesthetic collectors prize. Early-generation starters from any era remain foundational to serious collections.
