The Terastal Fest ex series marked a significant moment in Japanese Pokémon TCG collecting, introducing the Terastal mechanic that had captivated video game players. Released in 2024, this set represented the modern era's embrace of premium reverse holo treatments, where even standard cards received the full-art shimmer treatment. The Master Ball designation positioned these cards as special chase elements within an already competitive release. Duraludon's inclusion here appeals to collectors who appreciate Steel-type Pokémon and appreciate the card's dynamic artwork. The reverse holo treatment transforms this steel dragon into a shimmering collectible, making it a natural target for players building competitive decks and enthusiasts completing their Japanese set collections.
