Garbage Pail Kids experienced a major resurgence in the early 2020s as nostalgic collectors rediscovered the brand's irreverent humor and distinctive artwork. The Book Worms series exemplified this revival, bringing GPK's satirical edge to literary themes while introducing the vibrant Booger Green color palette. These sets proved the franchise remained culturally relevant and capable of attracting both longtime fans and new generations seeking alternative trading cards beyond mainstream sports offerings. Decaying Dorian captures GPK's signature grotesque humor through its literary parody of Oscar Wilde's famous character. The card's darkly comedic artwork and punny title demonstrate why collectors are drawn to the series—each card functions as a standalone piece of irreverent art. Fans of satire, pop culture references, and unconventional collecting appreciate how Garbage Pail Kids maintain their commitment to pushing boundaries while celebrating literary classics.
