Pokemon 151 arrived in 2023 as a nostalgic celebration of the original 151 Pokemon that launched the franchise three decades earlier. The set reimagined these classic creatures with modern production quality and contemporary design sensibilities, capturing collector interest across both veteran enthusiasts and newer generations discovering Pokemon's roots. Its reverse holo treatment offered visual appeal while remaining accessible to a broad audience seeking meaningful additions to their collections. Bulbasaur holds a special place as the first Pokemon ever printed and catalogued. As card #1 in this set, it carries symbolic weight for collectors building complete runs or seeking foundational pieces. The reverse holo finish brings dynamic visual character to this beloved starter, making it particularly rewarding to display alongside other Pokemon 151 highlights.
