Shining Fates arrived in early 2021 as a landmark Shiny Vault subset, capturing collector enthusiasm during the height of the Pokemon Company's supply constraints. Released as a premium collection focusing entirely on full-art alternate rarity cards, it became synonymous with that era's blend of accessibility and desirability. The set's strategic positioning made it a cornerstone release for both investment-minded collectors and those seeking visually striking modern cards. Frosmoth's shiny variant presents the ice moth Pokemon in its alternate colorway, rendered in full art that showcases the Shining Fates aesthetic. Collectors are drawn to this card for its combination of an appealing subject matter, dynamic illustration, and the rarity associated with the Shiny Vault designation. It represents the set's success in making premium cards attainable while maintaining collectible appeal.
