Card Notes

Obsidian Flames arrived in 2023 as a pivotal set during Pokémon TCG's modern era expansion. Released amid sustained collector enthusiasm, it delivered fresh competitive staples and sought-after artistic treatments, helping define the year's hobby landscape and cementing the post-pandemic TCG renaissance.

Ninetales appears here as an Illustration Rare, a coveted special rarity that showcases the card through striking alternative artwork rather than traditional borders. Collectors prize these cards for their visual impact and relative scarcity, making this elegant nine-tailed fox a memorable pull from the set.
