Paldean Fates represents a major evolution in Pokémon TCG special sets, blending the Scarlet & Violet era with premium Shiny aesthetives that captivated collectors in 2024. This release marked a turning point where full-art shinies became centerpieces rather than secondary pulls, reshaping how players and collectors approached modern booster boxes and sealed products during an already vibrant year for the hobby. Dondozo's shiny variant showcases the massive fish Pokémon in its striking alternate coloration, rendered with the dimensional sparkle effects that define this set's visual identity. Collectors gravitated toward this card for its commanding artwork and the appeal of securing a shiny version of this generation's imposing water-type, making it a standout chase card from the release.
