✍️ Autograph Authentication Crown Verified
The autograph appearing on 2021 Panini Select Autographed Memorabilia card AM-BSR (105/149) is a bold blue ink signature rendered in flowing cursive, positioned prominently across the lower white panel of the card. The signature displays Bas Rutten's characteristically expressive script, with large, looping letterforms anchored by a dominant "B" and trailing flourish consistent with known exemplars of his hand. Ink examination by Crown Authentication confirms this is a live ink autograph — hand-signed in real ink, not a printed or facsimile signature — evidenced by darkened overlaps at stroke intersections and natural variation in ink pressure and density across the autograph. Crown Grading is confident in the authenticity of this signature.
Card Notes
Panini Select Autographed Memorabilia represents the brand's premium approach to modern trading cards, blending autographs with high-end production values. Released in 2021, Select captured collector interest during a period when autograph cards remained central to the hobby's appeal. The set featured personalities across sports and entertainment, reflecting Panini's broad licensing reach before the company's eventual exit from the U.S. market. This Bas Rutten card celebrates the legendary mixed martial artist and commentator whose larger-than-life personality made him a fixture in MMA's formative years. Rutten's genuine warmth and distinctive voice earned him a devoted following that extends well beyond his fighting career. Collectors appreciate cards featuring personalities who transcended their primary sport, making Rutten a natural fit for crossover appeal.
