Panini Immactaste Collection emerged in the mid-2010s as a premium offering for combat sports enthusiasts, showcasing autographs and memorabilia from the UFC's biggest names. The 2023 Jumbo Memorabilia shorts insert set represents a shift toward tangible, wearable artifacts—pieces directly connected to fighters during competition. This approach resonated with collectors seeking authentic pieces beyond standard photography and ink. Aljamain Sterling, the bantamweight champion during this period, appears here with an actual shorts swatch embedded in the card. Sterling's technical prowess and title reign made him a centerpiece for premium releases. Collectors value fight-worn memorabilia cards for their direct connection to pivotal moments, making this an appealing addition for those building either Sterling collections or comprehensive UFC sets from the early 2020s.
