Dragon Frontiers arrived in 2006 as one of the final sets in the EX-era, a period defined by powerful stage-two Pokémon and competitive gameplay. The set maintained the beloved EX mechanic while introducing fresh cards to an established metagame, making it a meaningful chapter in early 2000s collecting. Reverse holos from this era remain popular for their visual appeal and accessibility compared to other chase versions. Seel, the Water-type seal Pokémon, appears here in its classic form with artwork capturing the character's gentle charm. Collectors appreciate early-set basic Pokémon for their nostalgic artwork and role in the broader collecting landscape, particularly when found in special parallel versions like this reverse holo treatment.
