Shining Fates arrived in early 2021 as a special subset celebrating the Galar region introduced in Pokémon Sword and Shield. The set became one of the most sought-after modern releases, marking a peak moment for the hobby's explosive growth during the pandemic. Its emphasis on full-art alternate illustrations and premium production quality made it instantly collectible, with products selling out rapidly and sustaining strong demand in the secondary market. Ball Guy captures one of Galar's memorable characters in vibrant full-art presentation. As a Supporter card depicting a human character rather than a Pokémon, it appeals to collectors interested in the TCG's broader universe and storytelling. The cheerful design and relative scarcity of human-focused cards in modern sets have made this particular card a favorite among those building comprehensive Shining Fates collections.
