Paldean Fates arrived in 2024 as a special set celebrating the Scarlet and Violet generation. Released as a premium collection following the main era, it brought a nostalgic pull with full-art cards and alternate treatments that appealed to both active players and collectors returning to the hobby. The set marked a turning point in how Pokémon approached special releases, blending accessibility with collectibility. Professor's Research remains one of the most sought cards from the set, featuring vibrant full-art treatment that captures the character in a moment of discovery. As a Supporter card with both competitive utility and stunning visual presentation, it represents exactly what makes Paldean Fates special—cards that matter in play and in display.
