Panini Select's 2023 Mezzanine Level release represented a landmark moment for modern basketball cards, arriving as the brand navigated its final years in the NBA space. The set combined Select's established appeal—clean designs, multiple parallel tiers—with elevated production quality and strategic player selection. Blue Prizm parallels became synonymous with the brand's premium aesthetic, offering collectors the distinctive refracted light play that defined this era of contemporary releases. Irving's inclusion in this set captures the All-Star guard during his career with the Dallas Mavericks. Collectors appreciate Select's straightforward presentation of marquee talent, and Irving's star power ensures consistent collector interest. The blue prismatic finish elevates the visual impact of any player card, making this a natural draw for both Irving enthusiasts and those seeking cornerstone pieces from Select's later releases.
