Brilliant Stars arrived in February 2022 as one of the final mainline sets of the Pokemon TCG's Sword and Shield era. The set marked a turning point, blending established mechanics with fresh artistic direction before the hobby shifted toward scarcer releases and vintage-focused collecting. It remains a solid entry point for newer collectors while holding nostalgic value for those who experienced the hobby's explosive 2020-2022 growth. Manaphy, the mythical Water-type, appears here in its classic serene form. The card captures the legendary Pokemon's ethereal nature through its artwork, making it appealing to both competitive players and collectors drawn to mythical Pokemon cards. Its presence in Brilliant Stars reflects the set's broad appeal across the Pokemon roster.
