Disney Lorcana represents a landmark moment in trading card gaming, bringing the massive Disney intellectual property portfolio into competitive TCG territory for the first time. The First Chapter set, released in 2023, served as the inaugural release and established the game's core mechanics and aesthetic direction. This Japanese version arrived alongside English releases, offering collectors both linguistic variety and regional appeal during the set's crucial early period. Donald Duck stands as one of Disney's most iconic characters, and his inclusion in Lorcana's foundational set ensures enduring collector interest. The character's distinctive personality and long history in animation make him a natural focal point for fans building their collections. Early First Chapter cards remain significant touchstones in the game's history.
