The 1991 Impel Disney Collector Cards set represents a pivotal moment when trading cards expanded beyond sports into popular entertainment. Impel Productions, already established for their Marvel and DC releases, brought their production expertise to Disney's vast character catalog. This set became a gateway for collectors to pursue non-sports cards, introducing many to the broader collecting hobby during the early 1990s boom. Card #121 features Don Donald, one of Disney's earliest and most mischievous characters. This particular card captures the classic design aesthetic that made the set appealing to both Disney enthusiasts and general collectors. The artwork celebrates a foundational character from animation history, making it a sought-after piece for those building complete Disney collections or focusing on vintage Mickey Mouse universe characters.
