The Sun & Moon era marked a pivotal moment for Pokémon TCG, introducing the GX mechanic that defined competitive play throughout the 2010s. This Japanese double rare subset represented premium pulls from booster boxes, coveted for their alternative artwork and scarcity compared to standard printings. The set captured the excitement of Alola's regional variants and new legendaries, making it essential for both collectors and players building competitive decks during this influential generation. Drampa GX showcases the gentle yet powerful Alolan dragon-type that resonated with players seeking non-traditional legendary appeal. The card's full-art treatment displays striking detail, with Drampa's characteristic grandpa-like wisdom evident in its expression. Collectors pursue this card for its combination of playability and artistic merit, representing a high point in the era's card design philosophy.
