Forbidden Light arrived in 2018 as part of the Sun & Moon era, a period when Pokemon TCG was experiencing renewed collector interest and GX mechanics dominated competitive play. The set introduced striking double rare cards with alternative artwork and premium treatments, making it a notable release for players and collectors alike seeking visually distinctive pulls from booster boxes. Greninja GX captures this popular ninja-themed evolution in an eye-catching double rare presentation. Greninja has long held appeal across the fanbase for its design and competitive relevance, and collectors continue to seek out alternate art versions like this one. Japanese releases of this era remain particularly desirable for their print quality and artistic presentation.
