Alter Genesis arrived in 2019 as a premium Japanese set that pushed the boundaries of Pokemon card collecting. The era celebrated increasingly elaborate artwork and experimental card treatments, with this set standing out for its double rare designation—cards that earned special recognition within the set's hierarchy. Japanese releases of this period marked a golden age for collectors seeking sophisticated designs and technical printing innovations. Oricorio GX captures the tropical dancer Pokemon mid-performance, rendered with the vibrant detail characteristic of this set's best artwork. The card appeals to both competitive players drawn to GX mechanics and collectors who appreciate the artistry. Oricorio's striking visual presence makes it a notable pull from the set, representing the kind of character-focused card that defines memorable collecting moments.
