Pokemon POP Series 2 arrived in 2005 during the height of the modern Pokemon Trading Card Game's resurgence. These promotional sets offered collectors accessible, compact releases featuring popular characters outside of standard expansions. POP Series cards became fixtures in hobby shops and remain touchstones of mid-2000s collecting culture, representing an era when Pokemon maintained steady momentum in the western market. Bulbasaur appears here in its classic, iconic form—the grass-type starter that anchors the original Pokedex. Collectors gravitate toward early starter Pokemon across all sets and eras, and POP Series versions hold particular appeal for their accessibility and the nostalgia they inspire among players who grew up with the franchise's foundation.
